Concepts, the arguments they leave open, what one object costs to produce, and the specification.
Concepts
Nine short pages. One question each. They teach the ideas. They do not amend the specification.
- How do you make a digital thing scarce?Cost goes in the object, not in a door.
- Issued, listed, or made?A cap and a list are the same office. A made object has no office.
- What kind of cost refuses to divide? The cost does not amortise. Two objects need two rooms.
- Why memory, and why a clock?Occupancy is the unit. The time half is not in the bytes.
- How do you prove when the work happened?Effort has no when. A public sequence supplies one.
- Can you check a stranger without asking anyone? The evidence is in the file, not in a lookup.
- Why can saying no be cheap when saying yes cannot?A cheap inspection may refuse. Only a replay may confirm.
- What follows from two things? The object is already a composition. The pattern is the repetition. The uses are a guess.
- Why carry the cost forward? The finished file is a spent commitment the holder can put at risk. Keeping it is optional.
Rationale
The arguments those questions leave open, and the map.
- How you make oneA small file, made by holding a room the file does not carry.
- Family contractTen debts any instance still owes. Magnitudes stay off the page.
- Threat modelTwo holes. A seat-shaped file for less than the floor, or a floor nobody can afford to read.
- Cost and incidenceTwo bills. A skip counted twice is not a measurement.
- FoundationsThe map. A question goes to the page that owns it.
Measured cost
What one Satoshi Hike v1.35 object costs to produce. The leg-rate ladder on that page is a measurement, not a price.
- PCOC at scaleTwo-channel desktop-class hosts. Host price read 2026-10-07.
Specification
The hike is the construction. The gate decision log is the admission log beside it. This shelf does not add a second construction.
- Specification mapWhere the hike text sits, and what is not in that folder.
- Satoshi Hike v1.35Terrain, leg, leg result, checkpoint, waypoint, and the hike object.
- Gate decision logThe admission service’s append-only decision log. Not a construction.
